Designer Home Furnishings- Coastal Couture

Susan Hornbeak Ortiz, owner of Shine by S.H.O, is considered one of the top tastemakers in the interior design industry. Her collection of home furnishings has been seen in magazines Elle Decor, O, Metropolian Homes and House Beautiful. It is one of the most fashion forward lifestyle lines in the interior design industry.

Susan was raised in a design and construction family. Her mother started her interior design business when Susan was 2 years. Her father was a builder and her grandfather an architect. Susan recieved her MFA from UCLA in sculpture and photography in 1990. She has been a working artist for most of her professional career. In 2004, needing a break from the art world, she launched Shine by S.H.O officially in January 2005.

Atlanta Symphony Showhouse

These last few weeks, I have spent time volunteering at the Atlanta Symphony Showhouse. It proved to be a great one this year. While, you cannot photograph the interiors of the home, you can the exterior. This home had previously been on the Atlanta Botanical Gardens for Connoisseurs Tour.
